Christine Mowry, Executive Director – Christine is a Non-Profit Executive who has been leading Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, Inc. since 2015 during which time the agency has experienced exponential growth in both its clinical and geographical capacities. Prior to this role she led the agency’s Mental Health Awareness Training initiative as Project Director for the SAMHA Project Aware-C Youth Mental Health First Aid program. Through this program, SYFS trained nearly 4,000 adults across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Christine is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor in the Youth, Adult, Older Adult, Higher Education, Public Safety, and Teen population modules.
Alison Eccleston, Director of School-Based Services - Alison is the Director of School-Based Services at Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, providing wraparound support, school-based counseling, clinical consultation in a variety of school districts in addition to her private practice working with children, adolescents, and families. Alison received her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and is a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) specializing in trauma. She has expertise with child sexual abuse and the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). Alison has almost 10 years of clinical experience. She has worked in community based mental health settings for over 3 years with wraparound services and work within the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). Alison has been trained in several evidence-based treatments such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
Jennifer Rifkin, Clinical Director – Jennifer Rifkin, LICSW is a social worker who has been working with children, adolescents, and families since 2001. She is currently the Clinical Director at Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, where she oversees SYFS's outpatient clinic and other support services programs. She is also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and teaches classes statewide. Prior to her work at SYFS, Jennifer was the Director of Youth and Young Adults Services for a decade at the Institute for Health and Recovery. While there, she developed an expertise in treating youth substance use disorders, consulted with the MA Department of Public Health on youth substance use treatment program design, and provided trainings on youth substance use across the state. Jennifer also has a strong background in working with youth involved with the juvenile justice and child welfare systems.
Jammie Glenn. Project Director – Mental Health Awareness Training - Jammie Glenn is Project Director of Mental Health Awareness Training at Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services with over fifteen years’ experience advocating, working in the mental health field and managing projects. She is a Worcester native and graduate of Dynamy’s John S. Law Institute with a Human Service degree from QCC and a BA in Advocacy and Social Justice from UMass Amherst. She is very involved in community service and is a member of the NAACP and a volunteer for NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness). Jammie is a recipient of Worcester Arts Council's project grant and will be infusing art centered events encouraging self-care back into the community.
