Success Express Webinar: Strategies for Maximizing Your Networking Activities After An Event

Date and Time

Wednesday Apr 12, 2023
9:30 AM - 10:30 AM EDT

You’ve networked…Now what?

Strategies for Maximizing Your Networking Activities after the event

You’ve:

- Attended the Corridor 9/495 Expo, Superbowl, Legislative Breakfast, or other event and collected a stack of business cards

- Met potential customers or referral partners at a networking event

- Been introduced to a potential client or customer through a referral

Now what?

- Where do you record your new contacts’ information?

- What is the best way to send a follow up communication?

- How do you cultivate a relationship with your new contacts?

In this Success Express workshop workshop we’ll discuss what happens after the networking event. One of the most important parts of the networking process happens after your first interaction with the person or business you're communicating with ... when you follow up with your new contacts.

We’ll talk through strategies for organizing your new contacts, crafting follow-up communications, and ongoing relationship management.

You’ll leave the workshop with practical tips and templates for:

- Organizing your contacts using different technology solutions

- Follow-up timelines

- Composing compelling follow-up messages

- Strategies for nurturing networking relationships

Guest Speaker: Lara Zelman, Lara Zelman Marketing

Lara Zelman is an experienced marketer, creative thinker, and food enthusiast dedicated to helping food entrepreneurs and small businesses build and sustain a relationship with their customers to drive growth.

With almost 20 years experience working in marketing and communications in the non-profit, higher education, and small business sectors, Lara thrives on crafting integrated marketing strategies designed to increase leads, drive engagement, and develop loyal brand advocates.

She launched her business, Lara Zelman Marketing, in 2021. Her current work combines her lifelong passion for marketing and food. With both a business marketing degree and a Master of Liberal Arts degree in Gastronomy from Boston University, she is able to bring a holistic view to help clients build their brands and create strong relationships with their customers. Lara works with clients to create actionable marketing strategies, optimize communications plans, write engaging content, organize event marketing opportunities, and more.

Lara is also involved in a number of non-profit initiatives. She serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Layla Lynn Bober Memorial Foundation. In this role she manages the foundation website, social media, email marketing, and plans the annual golf tournament. Lara is the treasurer for the Boston Alumnae Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and the co-chair of the Family Social Action Group at her temple.

When she’s not talking marketing or food, you’ll find Lara at the hockey rink coaching her kids’ teams, volunteering making meals for food insecure families, or cooking up a new recipe in her own kitchen. She lives in Framingham with her husband and two kids.

She looks forward to networking with you!
