Leading for Uncertain Times
Even before the unprecedented disruption of the global pandemic, the world was becoming increasingly volatile and complex. Organizations will need brave leaders and braver cultures to succeed in this new normal of constant disruption. This workshop will focus on how leaders and organizations can build the leadership capacity and cultures needed to innovate, make decisions, and inspire in times of continuous uncertainty.

Speaker:
Robin Ayers Frkal, PhD, Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at Nichols College
Before transitioning to academia, she refined her leadership skills working for a U.S. market leader in disability and long-term care insurance. As Assistant Vice Present, Benefits Operations, she led teams through various significant strategic, organizational, and technological changes. She currently teaches leadership, human resource management, and change management courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Robin’s research focuses on leadership development. She has published and presented on issues facing women leaders and developing young professionals. Her current research project is examining how the shift to working from home is impacting leadership development. She continues her leadership practice as the Director of the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership Program and Chair of the Human Resource Management Department.
