And if you’ve ever been curious about what it’s like to be a woman leader in this industry, join us on September 15th to meet Shelley Stormo.
Shelley Stormo is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology. She has over 15 years of experience working in non-profit community-based programs treating substance abuse and mental health problems. She is passionate about bringing communities together and finding solutions to systemic problems such as opioid epidemic.
Ms. Stormo founded Brighton Health Advocates, Inc. (BHA) in 2013 in response to the Massachusetts voter approved medical marijuana law. Her vision was to provide registered patients a safer, alternative option for pain relief in order to begin reducing the incidence of opiate addition. In 2017, BHA was acquired by PharmaCann and now operates as Pharmacannis Massachusetts Inc, dba Verilife. As Executive Director of Verilife Massachusetts, she utilizes her background in leadership, family systems, family intervention and program development to best serve Massachusetts residents seeking to improve their lives through the health benefits of cannabis. Verilife opened a location in the town of Shrewsbury on July 28, 2020.
