About Us
The mission of the 26.2 Foundation is to advance the global sport of marathoning while harnessing the power of the human spirit and its capacity for good. We are a non-profit organization with community roots in Hopkinton, MA and international reach.
Our vision is to:

Our signature project is the development of the International Marathon Center in Hopkinton, MA – designed to honor, celebrate and inspire the sport of marathoning. and recognize excellence and individual achievement around the world. Through its dynamic cultural and education programs, state-of-the-art facilities and revolving interactive exhibitions, it promises to build community and enrich learning in new and unique ways at local, regional and global levels.
The IMC will be located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts on a 19-acre parcel of land along the Boston Marathon® racecourse, between the starting line and the one-mile marker, which is celebrated by a 12-foot statue honoring Greek marathon champions Stylianos Kyriakides and Spyridon Louis. The IMC will provide a wide range of resources, including a compelling and dynamic visitor experience and hall of excellence, auditorium, conference, event and facilities, exhibition halls, education and research space, and outdoor trails and a trails hub. All will be available for use by business, educational, private and community groups
